Dr. Denbo H. Montgomery Biography
Dr. Montgomery, a native of Lafayette and a graduate of Lafayette High School, pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette), where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. Awarded a full academic scholarship, he was actively involved in Kappa Alpha Order, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Blue Key Honor Society.
He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Tulane University School of Medicine, followed by two years of General Surgery residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Montgomery then completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Tulane, where he contributed to several research projects and was honored with the Owl Club Award for excellence in teaching medical students.
Dr. Montgomery has held esteemed academic roles, including serving as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Louisiana State University and as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Audiology at the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Otolaryngologic Allergy, the Louisiana State Medical Society, and the Lafayette Parish Medical Society. He has also been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Montgomery has held several leadership positions, including serving as Chief of the Medical Staff at Lafayette General Medical Center and as a board member of Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital.
Dr. Montgomery provides comprehensive ENT care for patients of all ages, offering services ranging from office consultations and procedures to allergy testing and treatment, as well as performing complex surgical interventions.
